Sama Awards, ça m’a surpris

Avertissement :
1- les lignes qui suivent sont basées sur des faits réels qui ont eu lieu dans la vraie vie des gens dans notre dimension temporelle, et donc n’ont rien à voir avec aucun délire d’aucune sorte et surtout pas celui-là ;
2- j’ai complètement oublié de prendre des photos ;
3- je me dépêche d’écrire parce que je sais que sinon, je vais oublier encore plus de noms que si j’écrivais plus tard ; je n’ai déjà pas la mémoire des noms, alors celle des pseudos, hein…
4- résultat on est dimanche, jour normalement dédié à la flemme, et il se pourrait bien que ce qui suit soit truffé de raccourcis et d’approximations et autres jugements hâtifs. M’enfin bon c’est comme ça.

Samedi, 21 mai 2011, 12h45. Sur le quai de la station de métro Place d’Italie, où j’attends la prochaine rame de la ligne 7, j’aperçois déjà un groupe de cosplayeurs en pleine discussion, je me dis que c’est ok, je n’aurais qu’à les suivre, comme ça pas besoin de regarder mon plan pour trouver l’accès à l’Epitanime. Je m’apprête donc à sauter dans la même rame qu’eux, avant de m’apercevoir qu’elle part en direction Villejuif. Ouais. J’ai le temps d’arrêter le mouvement, mais pas de faire signe aux cosplayeurs, qui prennent le mauvais wagon. Sont pas encore arrivés à destination, ceux-là. 

13h00. J’ai pris la direction mairie d’Ivry, et je suis descendu Porte d’Italie. Cette fois c’est bon : des grappes de geeks et de cosplayeurs se dirigent dans la même direction, le même gag ne peut pas se reproduire deux fois, donc je suis le mouvement.

13h10. Après m’être acquitté du billet d’entrée, et avoir ceint le bracelet de papier mauve à mon poignet, je suis dans la place. Pour ceux qui n’y seraient jamais allés, l’Epitanime se déroule dans un lieu clos, une cour de campus entourée de bâtiments qui donnent une légère impression de claustrophobie, surmontant une caverne abritant des stands couverts de trucs à acheter.  Dans la cour, deux sortes de gens : 1- les cosplayeurs/ses, 2- ceux qui les photographient. Le tout se déroule selon des rites qu’un newbie n’est pas en mesure de comprendre. Je tente de me repérer. Face à moi, une scène où dansent des jeunes filles en tenue de maid, des dizaines d’objectifs tendus vers elles. J’ai dis : des objectifs, honnis soient qui mal y pensent. J’aperçois une porte surmontée du logo Brigade SOS Francophone : je suis sauvé. C’est là que je dois retrouver Pazu et les autres participants à la cérémonie de remise des prix du concours Sama Awards. J’entre dans ce qui ressemble à un local de Bureau des Elèves, avec des gens qui arborent des stickers Epita Staff. « C’est bien ici pour les Sama Awards? » « Euh chépas, demande à lui, là. » Un jeune qui tapote son notebook me regarde avec curiosité. « Euh, ah oui, mais c’est à 14h, alors faut revenir plus tard. Pazu? Oui je l’ai déjà vu, c’est un gars de taille moyenne, cheveux bruns je crois. Doit être dehors quelque part. » Instant d’intense solitude.

Je m’en vais piteusement, retour dans la cour où je me demande si je vais rester regarder la scène, où se trémoussent d’autres jeunes filles en play-back, ou si je vais croiser quelqu’un comme moi, à la recherche d’un endroit où se poser. Direction le parking souterrain, les stands de mangas m’accueillent avec leurs étalages rassurants, au moins là je n’ai pas l’air totalement perdu.

14h00. Ayant tué le temps en admirant les stands, je remonte tenter ma chance au local. Des chaises ont été alignées, c’est bon signe. Pazu est là qui me lance un sourire amical. Présentations. D’autres blogueurs sont déjà installés, je m’assois à côté de Lux, qui m’a reconnu. Je ne connais personne mais en fait tout le monde semble me reconnaître, bien que j’avais annoncé venir avec mon fils, ce à quoi j’ai prudemment renoncé. Je dois avoir quelque chose d’un newbie, je pense. Il y a là déjà Corti, Gemini, Natth, nyo, Ninjigen alias Segfault, Axel, et d’autres qui entrent jusqu’à remplir complètement la petite salle, Tata, Plumy, Jevanni, Rukawa, Tabris, The Drig, Tetho, Ffenril, je ne les reconnais pas bien sûr, et ça y est j’ai déjà commencé à oublier les autres pseudos. Excuses. On s’échange des vannes et des compliments, mais chut, ça commence. Pazu, maître de cérémonie, entre tout de suite dans le vif du sujet. Les prix sont annoncés dans cet ordre :

Il faudrait citer également les accessits, mais je ne veux pas me substituer au compte-rendu de Pazu, qui en donne les détail sur Animint. D’ailleurs je ne me souviens pas vraiment bien de tout pendant la durée de l’annonce des prix. J’avoue que j’étais un peu nerveux… Heureusement je sais que Lux a tout filmé, et qu’il publiera la vidéo sur Radio Coraline. Quand je me suis entendu appelé, j’ai probablement bredouillé une ou deux bêtises, et je me suis lâchement défilé quand la salle a scandé « un discours! un discours!« . Mon excuse a été de ne pas leur infliger des remerciements dignes d’une remise des Césars. J’ai ma dignité. Lorsqu’il s’est agi de choisir le lot, j’ai hésité une seconde mais finalement, j’ai suivi cette fois l’injonction de la salle, et j’ai pris le coffret Silent Möbius (merci à Ffenril de l’avoir proposé!).

Après, soulagé que ce fut fini, j’ai enfin pu faire la connaissance des blogueurs présents. Dommage que Gen, Ileca et Vins n’aient pu venir. La surprise, ce fut de rencontrer Plumy, qui m’a dit des mots très gentils, et quelques remarques justifiées sur mon blog, que je suivrai avec attention. La conversation a suivi avec Tata, Jevanni et Rukawa, sur des sujets divers et variés, entre les achats des uns, et les private jokes des autres, que je n’ai pas toutes comprises.

15h00. Nanti de ce magnifique diplôme, que je me suis trouvé con de ne pas pouvoir ranger dans mon sac à dos trop rempli sans le rouler, et donc l’abîmer un peu, j’ai passé le
reste du temps entre les différentes attractions, l’esprit un peu vidé et l’impression de me sentir toujours autant décalé au milieu de la foule. Heureusement, j’ai passé un moment agréable à discuter avec Tata de sujets n’ayant rien à voir avec l’Epita ni les Sama. J’espère que cette occasion se renouvellera. Je suis aussi retourné parmi les stands de mangas, définitivement plus à l’aise à fouiner dans le calme des volumes et des coffrets, qu’à errer dans la frénésie des shows de cosplayeurs. J’ai ainsi pu discuter de mangas, de cinoche et de musique avec Pazu et Corti notamment, dommage que Gemini se soit évanoui dans une autre dimension. Quelques achats à bon compte plus tard, j’ai dégotté le tome 0 du manga Silent Möbius. Ben oui, ayant bien compris que la blogosphère attend désormais de moi un compte-rendu détaillé de visionnage, je me dois d’y faire honneur.

17h00. Ne rencontrant plus aucun visage connu, et ayant fait le tour de cet étrange univers, je me décide à retourner dans ma province lointaine. Pendant le retour en train, je repense à cette après-midi. Tout d’abord, je me sens reconnaissant à Animint d’avoir organisé ce concours, dont le principal intérêt aura été de me donner l’occasion de faire ces quelques rencontres, un peu trop brèves à mon goût. Je crois que pour cela, j’aurais tout de même préféré un environnement plus à ma dimension, un restau ou un troquet, au hasard ! Je lance l’idée… En second lieu, je pense bien entendu au palmarès du concours. J’avais espéré, sans trop y croire, décrocher le prix du meilleur article. Mais je serais honnête : avec des articles aussi bons que ceux de Vins, Gen, Ileca, Helia, etc, je savais que c’était illusoire. D’autant que mon article souffre de défauts indéniables, comme sa longueur, et le fait qu’il ne soit pas réellement achevé. Je m’attendais donc plutôt à une place d’honneur, peut-être le prix du Jury, celui du « toujours classé, jamais gagnant » . Je visais au mieux celui de l’idée originale, mais l’originalité de mon article étant surtout d’avoir abordé le sujet de la musique classique dans l’anime sans avoir visionné Nodame Cantabile, ce n’était pas gagné. Finalement, le jury m’a fait la surprise de me décerner le prix de la passion. Et là, je ne m’y attendais pas du tout. J’en suis d’autant plus fier, à la réflexion. La passion, au-delà des définitions historiques de la blogosphère, c’est ce que j’essaie de faire ressortir à ma modeste place. Que ce soit reconnu, fut-ce pour un seul article, m’encourage à continuer dans cette voie. Et je vous préviens : quand je dis continuer, cela vaut même pour un article sur Silent Möbius. A bon entendeur.

    Sympa ton compte-rendu de la journée. Personnellement, si d’aventure il m’arrivait de me farcir les 650 km pour aller à Paris, je doute que très fort que je me sentirais à l’aise au centre d’un tel rassemblement de têtes inconnues (et barbares certainement). C’est d’autant plus courageux de ta part que Pazu devait être soulagé de voir au moins un gagnant présent dans la salle. Bravo pour ton prix, bien mérité! Par contre tes coffrets, ils essayaient pas plutôt de s’en débarrasser (cf : http://bit.ly/iT3dgE) ^^’

      Merci pour ton compliment, ça fait plaisir. Pour le coffret, je ne suis pas dupe, mais pas mécontent non plus. J’avais moi-même fourni un autre lot, les 2 premiers tomes de « Plan de complémentarité Shinji Ikari », je crois qu’au tirage au sort c’est Corti qui est reparti avec.

    Ah ah mon pauvre Mackie, je n’imaginais pas que tu fut autant perdu dans cette foule. Mais c’est vrai que ça reste très particulier l’Epita, et quand je pense que du haut de mes petits 25 ans je me sens déjà « décalée » (Pas les mêmes références, les trucs qui sont pour moi des classiques sont inconnus et je ne connais pas les animés récents) alors j’ose pas imaginer pour toi, surtout avec ton approche plus « intellectuelle » du manga et de l’anime vu que tu parles globalement d’oeuvres intelectuelles. Mais bon, au moins tu n’as pas eut une grosse sensation de rejet, c’est déjà ça ;b

      Parce que j’ai acquis la reconnaissance de mes semblables? Non. D’ailleurs, au milieu de la foule des geeks matant du cosplay sous un soleil de plomb, avec l’odeur de la transpiration et des paninis au thon, il n’y a pas grand-chose qui me fasse cet effet-là.

    Je me sentirai sans doute tout aussi perdu que toi le jour où où j’y mettrai les pieds, je suppose que c’est tout à fait normal pour une première. Rencontrer d’autres blogueurs de visu, ça peut aussi particulièrement tarauder la curiosité, dans mon cas je me demande même si je trouverais quelque chose à dire vu le caractère très varié de mes centres d’intérêt, mais l’intérêt de la chose vient aussi de l’improvisation dans la rencontre je suppose. Et si en plus il faut chanter…

    Félicitations pour ton prix en tout cas, ça me semble correspondre parfaitement avec ce que tu transmets, j’ai trouvé ton billet musical vraiment intéressant (entre autres parce que j’aime aussi la musique classique, et ne la trouve d’ailleurs pas aussi stigmatisée par les otaques que tu pourrais bien le croire :p).

    J’espère pouvoir assister au concours si l’inititative est réitérée, et te rencontrer à l’occasion (comme ça, on sera deux perdus au milieu de la foule en délire).

    Yup, c’est bien moi qui ait hérité des mangas evangelion (du haut de ma 11ieme place. Et ils sont mieux que ce que j’aurais cru ^^ Après, être un peu perdu, c’est normal. Ce qu’il faut, c’est avoir des gens avec qui traîner. Sinon, on s’y ennuie. En tout cas, moi, je m’y ennuie. Je ne suis pas forcément fana de matage de cosplay en boucle ou de faire des activités. Et l’EPITA, on en fait vite le tour. Et avec le temps, on connaît plus de gens, donc on papotte plus à droite et à gauche, donc on s’ennuie moins ^^ Ca permet de voir des têtes qu’on voit qu’une ou deux fois par an, c’est sympa. En tout cas, tu as reconnu plus de gens que moi, niveau blogueur :p

      Ah, et pour la bouffe, ça s’organise sans problème. Cette année, y’a pas eu l’air d’en avoir, mais c’est déjà arrivé qu’il y ait organisation d’un restau ou autres. Faut juste organiser la chose un peu en avance :)

    Sinon on aurait pu discuter un peu plus mais quand je me suis retourné et plus de trace. Du coup, je suis allé manger des gâteaux mais pas de thé.

      Toi, non, mais la situation, oui !

      mais j’ai abordé la question de l’accueil des newbies aves Pazu, et il a convenu que mes nombreuses suggestions étaient à étudier : maids (ou butlers, selon les goûts) pour accompagner les participants jusqu’au carré VIP, canapés mous + tables basses + open bar, comptable pour les défraiements, etc…

      c’est à l’étude, j’ai confiance.

    Et le diplôme est classe. Je crains de ne devoir attendre un moment avant d’avoir le mien en main propre. :(

    Sinon c’est vrai que l’epitanime c’est mieux si tu connais des gens. Mais ça n’empêche que tu puisses avoir des discussions avec plein de personnes différentes sans pour autant les connaître et les revoir ensuite…

    Tu serais partant pour revenir l’année prochaine?
