Ce 1er janvier 2012, c’est la deuxième fois depuis la création du blog que j’ai l’occasion de vous adresser mes meilleurs voeux pour la nouvelle année.

Je vous souhaite bien entendu de réussir tous vos projets, quels qu’ils soient, et de continuer à entretenir notre passion commune pour la culture anime/manga, avec le même enthousiasme et le même optimisme que moi.
Je ne l’ai pas fait exprès, mais ce billet du nouvel an est pile le 200ème du blog. L’occasion pour moi de jeter un coup d’oeil rétrospectif sur l’année écoulée…
Il s’en est passé des choses pour votre newbie serviteur. Avec bien plus de hauts que de bas, j’ai continué à partager avec vous jour après jour mes impressions et mes découvertes, et grâce à vos commentaires, le blog a trouvé sa petite place dans la blogosphère – les remerciements que j’ai à vous faire sont si nombreux que je crains d’en oublier. Tout de même, il y en a trois que je tiens exprimer particulièrement :
1- le 21 mai 2011, je me rendais timidement à la convention Epitanime, participer à la remise des prix de la première édition du concours Sama Awards. Outre le plaisir de mettre enfin un visage sur les noms de mes confrères blogueurs, et de partager avec eux un moment de convivialité, j’ai eu la joie de recevoir un prix, celui de la passion. Avec le recul, il me semble que c’était le prix qui correspondait le mieux à mes aspirations, à ce que je souhaite faire de ce blog, et j’en suis d’autant plus fier, et reconnaissant. Pour ceux qui souhaiteraient revivre mes émotions de la journée, tout est là.
Cette année, vous le savez, je ne participerai pas à la compétition. C’est la faute de Pazu : il m’a enrôlé pour faire partie du jury ! J’y vois un intérêt égoïste : je n’aurai pas à subir le stress d’être jugé, et en plus, ça me donne un bon coup de pied aux f*** pour que je lise avec plus d’attention ce qui a été publié sur les blogs des autres. J’ai déjà commencé, et les autres jurés peuvent en témoigner, c’est du boulot (agréable) !
2- J’adresse également des remerciements particuliers à l’équipe de Total Manga, et surtout à Paoru, qui ont eu l’initiative de retenir les Chroniques d’un Newbie pour le concours annuel des TM Golden Blogs. Assez inattendue, cette sélection m’avait un peu déstabilisé. Quoi qu’il en soit, cela a indéniablement permis d’élargir l’audience du blog, et a eu pour conséquence, via la création de ma page Facebook, de fidéliser des lecteurs supplémentaires. Expérience positive, donc.
C'est tellement moche que je ne m'en lasse pas.
3- Tout cela m’a encouragé à consolider le blog, et à lui donner une nouvelle indépendance, via la migration d’Overblog vers WordPress. Cela n’a pas été sans mal, il y a eu quelques loupés, mais grâce à l’aide et aux conseils des uns et des autres, le pauvre newbie a réussi à franchir ce cap. La migration est depuis peu achevée, et la liste des articles migrés un par un, à la mimine, se trouve dans la page archives. Franchement, sans vous, je n’aurais jamais eu la patience ni la motivation nécessaire !
Le résultat ? Je me sens nettement mieux dans mon nouvel environnement, l’interface d’administration et de rédaction est facile et agréable à utiliser, bref, je rejoins la cohorte des convertis à WordPress. Et pour peu que le temps et l’inspiration suivent, écrire pour le blog me donne toujours autant de plaisir.
Quid de 2012? Oh, faut-il vraiment que je fasse la liste de ce qui s’annonce d’intéressant en manga/anime? D’autres le feront avec beaucoup plus d’acuité et de précision que moi. En attendant, deux ou trois choses tout de même : cette année, il y aura prochainement le nouveau Ghibli, bien sûr, et plus tard j’attends de voir la suite d’Eureka Seven, annoncée récemment par Bones pour le mois d’avril.
Ah oui, 2012, ce sera aussi l’année de… You can (not) Redo.
