Semaine Taifu : y a du yaoi (2)

Comme promis, je poursuis ma semaine Taifu avec ma 2ème chronique yaoi, cette fois pour vous parler de Super Lovers et de Seven Days. Ok, annoncer une semaine Taifu et laisser passer trois jours entre la 1ère et la 2ème chronique, ça fait pas sérieux. Mais que voulez-vous, moi qui pensais être capable de rédiger facilement n’importe quoi sur n’importe quel sujet, me voilà bien embêté. Rendez-vous compte : comme Ileca le faisait remarquer en commentaire, un titre tel que Hand Which peut facilement être lu Sandwich, ce qui pour un yaoi peut prêter matière à moult calembours du meilleur goût, ou du pire, c’est selon. Alors comment voulez-vous que j’écrive, sans que cela passe pour du second degré douteux, que tel titre est une bonne introduction au genre, que le récit est assez profond, et même que j’ai enfilé les volumes à toute vitesse tellement ça m’a plu ? Vous me direz que mes états d’âme, vous vous en branlez, mais je ne veux pas savoir ce que vous entendez par là. Vous voyez ? Je pense que vous avez compris : quel que soit le bout par lequel je le prends, si je ne choisis pas mes mots avec soin, mon billet va forcément capoter…

L’histoire : Haru est appelé au chevet de sa mère biologique, au fin fond du Canada. En fait, elle va très bien merci, ce n’était qu’un simple prétexte pour le faire venir. Et quelle n’est pas sa surprise de se découvrir un petit frère, Ren, un sauvageon de huit ans adopté dans un orphelinat. Quelques années plus tard, Haru perd ses parents « japonais » dans un accident et fait venir Ren pour s’occuper de son éducation. Mais il ressent pour son petit-frère un sentiment qui va bien au-delà du simple amour fraternel…

Ce que j’en pense : Super Lovers aborde, a priori, le même sujet que le yuri Pas à pas : la naissance d’une histoire d’amour entre un majeur et un mineur de même sexe. Mais là où Pas à pas fait preuve de tact et de délicatesse, Super Lovers use et abuse des hyperboles, superlatifs, effets visuels et autres exagérations – et du coup, le résultat m’a énormément gêné. D’ailleurs, vous l’aurez noté, les titres sont éloquents : Pas à pas et Super Lovers, ça n’évoque pas la même chose. Et donc autant cracher le morceau : dans Super Lovers, pour moi, il est question de pédophilie. Et ce n’est pas qu’une question de forme, mais aussi de fond. Dans Pas à pas, l’histoire d’amour débute de façon très soft, et c’est la « jeunette » qui fait des avances à la « vieille », qui refuse. En outre, Otome est déjà collégienne au début de l’histoire, elle n’a pas huit ans. Tandis que dans Super Lovers, Haru (qui travaille comme « host » dans un bar) est attiré par un enfant de huit ans justement, il éprouve pour lui du désir, et si plus tard dans l’histoire l’enfant a treize puis quinze ans, son look exagérément kawai aux énormes yeux de bambi ne lève aucune ambiguïté. Et cette fois, c’est le gamin qui repousse les avances du vieux ! On n’est pas vraiment dans le même contexte…

Le style graphique participe de cette impression gênante. Je vais paraître méchant, mais je me suis demandé si le manga a été dessiné par l’auteure ou seulement par ses assistants? Partout des trames, des petites fleurs (ou des étoiles ou des pétales de cerisiers, ou… des fraises! oui, des fraises!), des effets de lumière exagérés… Les personnages ont le visage à moitié dessiné, bizarrement cadré… Et les cases, presque toujours en biais et en sens vertical, sont remplies de petits phylactères dans tous les coins avec trois mots dedans, je n’arrive même pas à savoir qui dit quoi… Il m’a fallu relire plusieurs fois certaines planches pour comprendre ce qui se passe. Quant à l’intrigue, ma foi… Des allers-retours Japon-Canada sans justification, des sauts dans le temps que je ne comprends que trois pages après, des rebondissements gratuits (l’accident des parents), des personnages secondaires antipathiques (la mère biologique, les jumeaux demi-frères)… Je ne suis pas sûr d’avoir tout saisi. Et c’est bien dommage, car l’ensemble a l’air ambitieux et tout, mais c’est pour moi tellement fouillis et ambigu que j’ai pas trop envie de lire la suite. Au moins, il n’y a pas (pas encore?) de scène de cul, mais je ne suis définitivement pas client, voilà.

L’histoire : au lycée, Tôji est un vrai bourreau des cœurs : il sort chaque semaine avec une fille différente. Et de surcroît, il inflige à ses amoureuses un étrange rituel : il leur dit oui le lundi, et rompt le dimanche, avant de passer à la suivante. Yuzuru, intrigué, le met au défi de sortir avec lui. Or voilà que Tôji accepte… Et de jour en jour, les deux garçons se découvrent des sentiments auxquels ils ne s’attendaient pas. Leur histoire est-elle plus sérieuse qu’un simple jeu? Que se passera-t-il lundi prochain ?

Ce que j’en pense : j’avais déjà eu l’occasion de découvrir le dessin fin et gracieux de Rihito Takarai avec Welcome to Hotel Williams Child Bird, un shojo plutôt bien fait, agréable à lire, et à l’intrigue proche du seinen. Je retrouve le même charme dans Seven Days, toujours grâce au style graphique très personnel de la mangaka (un trait léger, fin et délicat, mais en même temps réaliste) et aussi grâce à un récit à la fois surprenant et subtil, qui évite les clichés et les stéréotypes. C’est estampillé yaoi, mais pas de Uke ni de Seme ici, les deux protagonistes sonnent vrai, avec leurs doutes, leurs maladresses, leurs contradictions typiques de leur âge. Ce sont deux garçons qui se cherchent. Tôji est un séducteur a priori cynique mais en réalité victime de son succès, il se laisse ballotter par les évènements, refusant de s’impliquer pour ne pas se blesser. Yuzuru est un jeune garçon cérébral et joueur, mais lui aussi joue un personnage, cachant sous son apparente nonchalance une vraie quête de pureté et d’idéal. En fait, si l’histoire d’amour fait se rencontrer deux garçons, ce n’est pas là le sujet. Cela aurait pu être deux filles, ou bien une fille et un garçon, peu importe, ce qui m’a plu c’est le chemin qu’ils parcourent en quête du véritable amour.

Pour ne rien gâcher, le principe de l’histoire (le découpage en sept jours) instaure une tension croissante, sinon un véritable suspense, à mesure que se rapproche la date fatidique. Sous le regard intrigué de leurs camarades, garçons et filles, Tôji et Yuzuru jouent au jeu de la séduction avec un mélange de sérieux et de désinvolture, mais quand se rapproche le dernier jour, jusqu’à la dernière minute, tout reste possible : rupture, ou bien révélation. Ne comptez pas sur moi pour spoiler, mais pour une fois qu’un manga court (deux tomes seulement), et un yaoi qui plus est, se termine de façon logique, sans raccourci,  ça mérite d’être souligné. Pas un jour de plus, ni de moins, n’est nécessaire : Seven Days porte son titre avec une rare justesse.

    Superlovers donne clairement pas envie en effet, par contre je t’avoue que tu m’as intrigué avec Seven Days. Le propos a l’air plutôt intelligent et rien qu’au synopsis on a envie de s’y intéresser. En tout cas, ça m’interpelle, j’y jetterai un oeil à l’occasion…

    Par contre, je vais peut être dire une bêtise (j’ai jamais lu de yaoi…), mais le scénario semble plus s’orienter vers du shonen-aï que du yaoi car aux vues du déroulement…

    Et puis la couverture du tome 01 dégage… Un truc… Difficile à dire mais j’aime beaucoup cette couverture.

        Je suis pas très regardant sur les « appellations » moi non plus, mais Seven Days m’a l’air quand même vachement plus « soft » que d’autres yaoi abordés dans tes articles, d’où mon interrogation :D

    Je suis vraiment d’accord avec ce que tu as dit pour « Super lovers » j’ai commence cet anime avec bcp de hâte qu’elle a ete ma deception dans le premier episode quand j’ai vu que ça frollait la pédophilie et puis petit a petit comment ca s’enfonçait dedans. Le pic de mon dégout sa à été quand Haru’ a faillu violer Ren alors qu’il avait à peine 15ans et de voir que dans l’entourage c’etais quasi’ normal de voir le grand frere embrasse sur la bouche son frr  »adoptif » comme si se n’etait rien, les voirs dormir ensemble ect…Ca m’a d’autant plus touche parce que Ren etait un enfant tt mignon et jeune, au debut il paraissait avoir un passe difficiles. Dite vous bien que je ne l’ai pas lu l’anime mais REGARDE ; les scenes etaient donc plus marqué et revoltante. Franchement grande déception pour l’anime Super lovers!
