Je me suis récemment retapé la première saison de Goldorak (UFO Robot Grendizer), histoire de vérifier si la série était aussi ringarde que dans mon souvenir. Verdict : oui. Mais au milieu de la masse des épisodes, je dois reconnaître qu’une perle méritait d’être sauvée. L’épisode 9 : Le Camp de la Lune Noire.
- Même entre méchas, il peut se passer des trucs torrides.
Il faut rappeler que cette série se signalait par l’inconstance de son effectif : réalisateurs, scénaristes, responsables de l’animation et designers changeaient d’un épisode à l’autre. Ce qui explique l’absence de vision d’ensemble, l’hétérogénéité et la médiocrité générale de la réalisation.
A rebattre les cartes à chaque épisode, le miracle pouvait toutefois se produire : un bon réalisateur, un bon scénariste et un bon animateur en même temps. Le Camp de la Lune Noire en est un des rares exemples, et j’ai été frappé par sa qualité, qui en fait une sorte de one-shot, à regarder avec curiosité et bienveillance.
Oui bon la mode en 1975, hein... M'enfin, le charme y est quand même, non?
Cet épisode, quoique classique, est à la fois bien écrit, bien réalisé et bien dessiné (je le répète, c’est une rare coïncidence). On y découvre un personnage tragique, la belle Euridie (version française), manipulée et téléguidée par Véga pour tuer Actarus. Manque de bol, elle va tomber amoureuse… Et foirer sa mission, par amour. Donc, personnage de tragédie grecque, elle devra accepter la mort, seule échappatoire. Là, on se dit qu’Actarus est vraiment con, parce qu’à sa place… bref… Ben oui, Euridie est quand même autrement plus jolie et émouvante que l’autre gourdasse, là, ah oui, Venusia. Bon, c’est mon opinion. Et n’oubliez pas que j’ai une excuse : près de 30 épisodes avalés juste pour vous rendre compte ! Dont les 9/10èmes à supporter les atermoiements de la Venusia et de l’Actarus !
Le moment où Actarus comprend qu'il est vraiment un âne.
Reste un moment culte de la série, qui dans son ensemble a quand même dramatiquement vieilli. S’il faut revisionner UN épisode, Le Camp de la Lune Noire est celui-là. A réserver aux curieux, ou aux afficionados (ou aux quadras un rien nostalgiques, comme moi). Et comme je suis de bonne humeur (et que je considère, que, 35 ans après la première diffusion, il y a quasiment prescription), je vous offre le visionnage de l’épisode intégral. Non, ne me remerciez pas. Regardez d’abord. Certains parmi vous (les plus jeunes) me maudiront peut-être. Ou bien trouveront que je radote. 
Dans la version française, il me semble que TOUS les épisodes de Goldorak s’appellent pompeusement « Le camp de la Lune noire ». Un bug dans le générique sans doute.

J’avais 8 ans ! A l’époque c’était l’hallu totale ! J’ai bien le droit d’avoir un regard ironique sur mes emballements enfantins, non?
Vu que tu ne repasseras probablement plus sur mon article sur Shin Mazinger Shôgeki! Z-hen, je reposte ici pour te conseiller la série. 26 épisodes ça doit pouvoir se faire pour quelqu’un qui a eu la force de se refaire tous ces épisodes de super robot à l’ancienne, et ça devrait t’intéresser ne serait-ce que pour imaginer ce que pourrait donner un Shin Grendizer qu’on pourrait penser plus proche du manga original de Go Nagai
(Après ce Shin Mazinger a tout de même bien des défauts dont son absence de conclusion, et pour voir des séries de Super Robot, il y a quand même mieux, GaoGaiGar, Giant Robot ou Gurren-Lagann me viennent en tête comme titres à tenter si tu ne les connais pas =))
