Au passage, le décor de cette vieille pub donne un indice sur la ville où j’habite – le truc à l’horizon, oui.
Bon, les bagnoles, c’est pas exactement ma passion (vraiment pas), en général les discussions de mes collègues sur le sujet me gonflent même royalement. D’ailleurs, pour vous donner une idée, je roule en Citroën AX, un vieux clou sympathique qui ne démarre qu’au starter et que j’évite d’utiliser pour des trajets de plus de 50 km. Et comme je roule à vitesse, euh, raisonnable, je me prends un certain nombre de queues de poisson précédées par de jolis concerts de klaxon. Bref.
Mais pourquoi est-ce que je vous parle de ça alors? Ben, parce qu’en faisant le tri dans mes anciens articles, j’ai trouvé trois anime pour moi cultes, où Citroën fait une courte apparition caméo : ce sont FLCL, Eureka Seven et Gankutsuou. Et comme je me retape le visionnage d’Eureka Seven, ça m’a fait tilt. Ok, dans FLCL, ce n’est pas une belle DS, mais… une GS.
Dans Gankutsuou et Eureka Seven, en revanche, pas de doute, on voit bien la DS. Dans les deux cas, il s’agit de science-fiction, mais l’apparition est fortement connotée : Gankutsuou (ci-contre) étant tiré d’un roman d’Alexandre Dumas, le Comte de Monte-Cristo, la DS fait partie de l’attirail français habituel, c’est une signature visuelle aussi connue que la dodoche, que tout spectateur nippon ou ricain identifie à la France éternelle, comme la baguette ou le camembert. Dans Eureka Seven (ci-dessous), la DS est moins décorative ; elle apparaît lors d’un épisode particulièrement dramatique, qui se situe à… Varsovie (Warsaw dans l’anime), et permet d’ancrer la série en tant que futur d’une Terre profondément modifiée, mais dont survivent certains stigmates du passé…
Du coup, je me suis amusé à rechercher les apparitions de la DS dans d’autres oeuvres… En ce qui concerne le manga et l’anime, je manque de références, mais pour la bande dessinée et le cinoche, les références sont légion. Je ne vais pas vous faire un catalogue exhaustif, mais c’est une manière amusante d’évoquer certaines de mes vieilles lubies.
En BD, il faut feuilleter Spirou (notamment les deux premiers Zorglub : Z comme Zorglub, et L’Ombre du Z), Blake et Mortimer (dont plusieurs albums se passent en France : SOS Météores et Le Piège Diabolique), Gil Jourdan (plein de bagnoles vintage ! de la quatre chevaux à la Renault 8 Gordini…), mais rien dans Tintin en revanche, à part dans le film Le Temple du Soleil.
Reste le cinéma, et là, du Samouraï à Fantômas, d’A Bout de Souffle à Mortelle Randonnée, il y en a trop pour toutes les citer. Je mentionnerait seulement, pour rester sur la note futile et nostalgique de ce billet, la mémorable DS transportant un bateau sur le toit, que conduisent Louis de Funès et Henri Guybet dans Rabbi Jacob. « Vous êtes juif? Comment, Salomon, vous êtes juif?… » J’ai eu beaucoup de mal expliquer cette réplique à mon fils, sept ans, qui adore ce film. Mais là, on sort du sujet.
Donc, si quelqu’un a une DS à céder, pour que je me la joue comme dans ces oeuvres cultes, je suis prêt à lui échanger, contre, par exemple, euh… une AX? non? personne? vraiment?
Très bien pour patienter tout en se cultivant… Surtout quand on est vraiment une bille en voitures ^^
Plus bille que moi, c’est à peine possible.
Je me demande d’ailleurs si mon ignorance et ma nostalgie ne sont pas liées. Comment s’intéresser aux voitures d’aujourd’hui, toutes aussi vulgaires et impersonnelles les unes que les autres, quand on a roulé, dans son enfance, en coccinelle, en DS, en 204, en 4L, en CX ou en Simca? à l’époque, les voitures ne se ressemblaient pas, et avaient de la personnalité…
Pour ma part je me suis limitée à la 2CV personnalisée (avec les girafes de Mordillo peintes dessus ^^) et à la 4L.
J’avoue que j’aimerais bien les retrouver..même si le confort avoisinait le zéro, ça avait un certain cachet.
