The Sama Awards : and the winner is…

22 mai 2011. Sous les ors et le plafond peint de la grande salle de l’Opéra Garnier, les murmures se sont tus. C’est à peine si on devine le bruissement des robes de grands couturiers et des costumes trois pièces de créateurs. Dans le fond de la salle à gauche, on entend une sonnerie de portable : ouf, fausse alerte, c’est juste Méta qui a oublié de mettre le sien en mode vibreur. Sur scène, les mains délicates de Mme Hayashibira, invitée d’honneur et maîtresse de cérémonie, déchirent l’enveloppe sous le regard légèrement exorbité de Monsieur Pazu, Président du Jury, qui se tamponne le menton pour éliminer un filet de bave.

Devant l’assistance, les photographes ont déjà préparé leurs objectifs. Les stars de la blogosphère sont présentes, sous l’oeil inquisiteur des caméras. Qui sera l’heureux élu? On aperçoit Sonocle, suant dignement sous sa chapka en peau de taupe, faisant semblant de ne pas être concerné, et consultant discrètement son blackberry afin de vérifier s’il n’est pas en retard pour la soirée au Raspoutine. Tetho, rayonnant, est trop occupé à sourire aux huit rangs d’admiratrices autour de lui, en exhibant le Special Sama Award qu’il vient de recevoir pour le meilleur article dans la catégorie « Magical Mecha ». Corti a été spotté par la caméra n°3, et du coup il se planque derrière son programme, de peur d’être repéré par une certaine M.R., que l’on aurait aperçue rôdant dans le grand escalier. Axel Terizaki est serein, flanqué à sa droite et à sa gauche de deux cosplayeuses en tenue de maid. Tata fait bonne figure, malgré l’epic fail qui l’a frappée récemment. C’est ça, la classe.  Ffenril, HeliaGen, Ginie, Amo, Sirius et Shinmanga sont également visibles aux premiers rangs. Seul Rukawa semble faire la gueule. Il se raconte qu’il n’aurait pas obtenu la création d’une catégorie « meilleur article consacré à Top wo Nerae ».

L’annonce, et les roulements de tambours qui l’accompagnent, ricoche sur les dorures des balcons et des loges où  se prélassent les officiels. Tandis que les obscurs, les sans-grade s’entassent dans le fond du poulailler, aux places à visibilité réduite. Pile derrière un poteau, dans ses petits souliers, le newbie avale son troisième chewing-gum au menthol et manque de s’étouffer. Malgré son look travaillé Gendo style, en fait assez foireux, il a failli ne pas pouvoir entrer, les physionomistes étant intraitables. Mais ça s’est arrangé, moyennant quelques billets froissés, et surtout l’intervention opportune de Lux, passant par là et laissant entendre que « oui, c’est bon, celui-là vous pouvez le laisser entrer« . Le newbie a pu s’installer à une place laissée libre par Brutus, le tyrannosaure de Negenerv, qu’Akira a dû laisser au vestiaire. Du coup, déçu, le newbie n’a pas réussi à s’asseoir près de Plumy, qui devait lui garder une place. Il n’a pas non plus réussi à repérer Gemini ni Faust, mais avec un peu de chance ils seront au foyer en train de boire un verre.

(Tââ-tââ-tiiin….) (traduction simultanée) « …Gérard.Chombier.Sama, pour son article : les panties, passé, présent et futur de l’anime, on l’applaudit bien fort! » Tandis que se lève un grand dadais boutonneux pour recevoir son prix, le monde paraît se figer pour le newbie. Autour de lui, il n’aperçoit plus que des visages extatiques bloqués pour scander « Chom-bier ! Chom-bier ! » tandis qu’une crampe le saisit, moitié debout, moitié assis, en position instable. Tout ça pour ça ! Lui reviennent en mémoire, comme un lent flash-back, toutes les nuits blanches passées à écrire ZE article ultime, celui qui lui vaudrait enfin la reconnaissance de la communauté otake francophone, malgré les échecs précédents de ses tentatives sur Gurren Lagann, Summer Wars ou les Chroniques de Lodoss, il pensait avoir relevé le gant. Mais finalement incapable d’écrire un article comme celui-ci ou celui-là, la partie était perdue d’avance.

La suite, comme un mauvais rêve, devait s’exclure de sa mémoire. Juste quelques flashes d’un retour problématique en taxi, lorsque le chauffeur expliquait « non monsieur, il n’est pas possible de monter à l’arrière avec votre dinosaure, sinon j’appelle les flics« .

Connaissance du Monde : le Newbie, vie et moeurs
Le retour sur terre et devant l’ordi n’a pas été facile. Forcément. Soumettre au jury un article sur « présence du clavecin dans les musiques d’animes de mechas« , forcément, c’était un peu osé. Quel con. Il aurait mieux valu écrire un billet d’égotrip, tant qu’à faire. Au moins, écrire sur soi, c’est écrire sur un sujet qu’on connaît. On n’a pas besoin de se documenter beaucoup, on ne sera pas pris en défaut d’ignorance, on ne vexera personne, et, à moins de tomber sur quelqu’un qui vous reconnaît, on peut inventer toutes sortes d’anecdotes avantageuses. Bref, un sujet en or. En apparence.

(Vous n’imaginiez tout de même pas que je me serais amélioré depuis tout à l’heure, non?

 Parce qu’évidemment, il y a quand même une contrainte : il faut rendre le sujet intéressant. Et là non plus ce n’est pas gagné d’avance. Prenons, par exemple, le cas d’un certain newbie : sa journée-type consiste à se lever-partir-bosser-rentrer-chercher le gosse-faire le dîner. On peut faire plus glamour. Oui mais on peut pondre un feuillet de longueur respectable, sans trop se relire. Et puis, plein d’épiphénomènes gagneraient à être développés, comme l’habitude maintenant prise de distribuer des mangas aux nouveaux fans, en arrivant au bureau. Eh oui, le newbie a au moins réussi cela : capter une petite audience de collègues récemment convertis, qui lui demandent chaque matin « Eh, tu penses à me prêter le tome 8 de Monster pour le week-end? » ou encore « Dis-donc, tu l’as acheté, le 3ème tome de Dragon Head? » Tout n’est pas perdu.

Bon. L’avenir est clair : pour les Sama Awards 2012, il va falloir se remettre un tantinet en question. Peut-être qu’un visionnage de « la Mélancolie d’Haruhi » permettra de voir la lumière. Ben oui quoi. Quitte à mourir idiot, il faut au moins savoir pourquoi.

Ma vengeance sera terrible.

(NB : Il est bien évident que tout ce qui précède n’est qu’élucubrations, divagations, et humour balourd à trois balles.  Le tout, de surcroît, conçu avec un taux d’alcoolémie que la législation réprouve. Les personnes estimables dont les pseudos auront été cités – ou non -  sont invitées à faire part en commentaires de leur désapprobation si elles se sont senties offensées. Il va de soi que tout cela n’a qu’une importance très relative, que l’on peut réduire à l’attention qu’il convient d’accorder à ce blog, à savoir pas grand chose, au fond. Et puis finalement, WTF.)

    Oulah, tu devrais arrêter de boire, ça ne te réussi pas :p.

    Plus sérieusement je vois mal où tu veux en venir en fait. Les Sama Awards ne font-ils justement pas preuve d’une volonté de récompenser la qualité d’un article et non son taux de buzz/racolage ? Volonté qui a plutôt bien l’air de te correspondre vu que tu te places comme étant quelqu’un qui écrit des sujets culturels et peu vendeurs.

    Sinon je suis un peu attristée de voir que tu nous présente tous comme écrivant des billets « égotrip ». Tu as parlé d’Undercurrent récemment et Gen en avait fait un article peu avant toi ; de même pour Cencoroll et Haibane Renmei, dont j’ai aussi parlé (tout comme Serial Experiments Lain) et je ne pense pas être la seule. C’est bien la preuve qu’on est pas tous portés sur « Les panties, passé, présent et futur des animes », non ;) ?

    (D’ailleurs personnellement je ne trouve pas qu’un sujet sur le clavecin dans les musiques d’animes de mechas soit particulièrement osé ^^’)

    Sinon je ne comprends pas vraiment ce que la vie privée vient faire là-dedans. Pour moi ce que l’on est représente un potentiel, tu l’exploites ou ne l’exploites pas à sa juste valeur, mais tu en as un. Et là, on croirait entendre le vilain petit canard. En tout cas je te trouve bien catégorique, comme si la vie était toute noire ou toute blanche et non constituée de milliers de nuances de gris. Je ne sais pas si tu as le blues mais repose ton verre et reprend courage =).

    (Question bête : tous les liens que tu cites amènent à la page d’accueil des blogs susnommés sauf le mien qui renvoie à mes articles de cet été ; dois-je en déduire que ce sont les seuls dignes d’intérêt et que je me suis relâchée ces derniers-temps =< ?)

    P.S : Par contre se cacher derrière l’alcool c’est lâche :p.

      Pour le reste tu as évidemment raison, quant à savoir où je veux en venir? je ne sais pas trop moi-même. Je l’ai écrit comme une sorte de rêve bizarre. L’égotrip, c’est un repli, une fausse bonne idée. Une facilité à laquelle faudrait que je résiste. Heureusement ce n’est pas ce que je lis d’une façon générale. Mais disons que récemment, à trop vouloir comprendre le pourquoi du qui pense quoi, j’ai lu ici et là trop de posts polémiques auxquels je ne comprenais rien, comme si la blogosphère était un milieu qui se commente en vase clos. Machin a écrit sur bidule qui pense que truc a tort de critiquer chose… Quant aux fantasmes otakistes, c’est quand même le thème récurrent susceptible de faire plus de 100 commentaires, ça je ne l’ai pas inventé… OK, j’ai écrit ce billet sans trop réfléchir, il est peut-être une réaction inadéquate. Un genre d’humeur.

      Bien entendu, les Sama Awards sont une initiative à soutenir. Et je suis désolé si je t’ai froissée.

      Bon, je crois qu’il faut que je me remette à lire. demain c’est week-end.

    Résister à l’égotrip c’est tout à ton honneur ma foi ^^.

    Il est vrai que ce n’est pas facile de respecter une éthique lorsqu’on voit à côté ces fameux « fantasmes otakistes » susceptibles de dépasser la centaine de commentaire avec trois lignes de troll et il y a de quoi se sentir découragé (moi aussi en voyant cet article, j’ai eu un peu le blues). Le racolage rapporte toujours plus de visites que n’importe quel billet savamment construit et argumenté, et ça fait parfois douter de soi.

    Mais à l’inverse ça fait un bien fou de voir des poches de résistance se former. Ou même, comme tu le dis, de voir des gens se convertir, remercier. Et je crois qu’il faut se concentrer le plus possible sur ces choses là.

    Plus facile à dire qu’à faire, on est d’accord XD.

    Sinon je tiens à préciser que je ne suis pas froissée du tout et que j’ai trouvé ton article assez rigolo et original =). J’espère juste que les gagnants des Sama Awards ne parleront pas de petites culottes, sinon c’est à désespérer de tout X).

    J’ai trouvé ça rigolo comme divagation perso, mettre en scène les acteurs de la blogosphère autour d’une cérémonie de récompense est originale. En finissant ton article, je me suis dit que c’était volontaire pour concourir dans la catégorie « article original » des sama awards justement.

      Pour la blague, désolé, ça m’est passé par la tête à ce moment. J’ai imaginé les réflexions foireuses que pourrait faire un genre de Nelson Monfort commentant les invités d’une soirée de gala…

      Pour le concours, oui je participerai, mais je ne m’inscrirai officiellement que lorsque j’aurai quelque chose à proposer qui respecte les critères, notamment le sujet. Ce ne sera certainement pas l’article ci-dessus !

    Han, moi, aux premiers rangs ? Mince, je pensais être passé inaperçu dans ma tenue de plongée, le son du furin m’aurait-il encore trahi ? Je découvre l’initiative de Sama en ce moment même via ce billet, dis-toi que tu auras au moins servi à quelque chose (et j’ai trouvé ça plutôt amusant à lire, aussi :p). Maintenant je suis obligé de participer, j’ai du pain sur la planche :< Je comprends ton positionnement vis à vis de tout ça cela dit, comme je rejoins Helia sur pas mal de points. Ta série de billets sur la musique classique dans Evangelion, c’est le genre de chose qui ne devrait pas vraiment te faire douter (d’autant plus que c’est passionnant de savoir à quoi on doit un cliché musical dans une oeuvre visuelle o/), et je trouve tes petites critiques sur des productions méconnues très savoureuses. Et puis bon, on est loin d’avoir tous une vie d’aventure hein, je crois que tu n’es pas le seul à te débattre et à vouloir répondre la bonne parole auprès de ton entourage. On contemple un peu tous l’étendue de notre inintérêt, c’est humain, c’est ce qui nous donne envie de nous enrichir, d’être productifs :)
