J’ignore si Raymond Queneau aurait tenu un blog, mais se lancer dans le grand bain du WordPress est une occupation qui donne une idée surréelle de la vie. Tiens, par exemple, ce matin, j’ai voulu m’amuser à modifier le CSS, pardon, le style de mon thème WordPress, pour ajouter des menus dans ma barre de titre. Bien entendu, le seul résultat concret que j’ai obtenu est un magnifique syntaxerror qui a envoyé tout le blog dans un univers parallèle.
Erreur réparée après maints tâtonnements, mais qui me permet de mesurer : 1- l’étendue de mon ignorance crasse en matière d’administration de blog, 2- les conséquences fâcheuses de l’oubli d’un ‘ ou d’un ) dans une feuille de style. Un seul caractère vous manque, et tout est dépeuplé… Queneau, qui jouait sur les variations de mots, de style ou de typographie pour faire surgir de nouvelles possibilités sur un même thème, aurait bien rigolé.
Blague à part, si vous connaissez des trucs pour simplifier le bricolage des feuilles de style, et surtout sans risques, je vous serais reconnaissant à un point tel que ça vous donnerait une idée de l’espace infini.
A part ça, je progresse à pas de fourmi, et je n’ai toujours pas compris comment configurer mes menus. Quant à la migration des articles, au rythme actuel, j’y suis encore fin octobre. A noter, que le plus énervant est l’importation des commentaires. Je tiens à les garder, et je peux configurer les comm un par un pour conserver les dates et les noms des contributeurs. Par-contre, je ne peux pas remettre vos avatars !

Bonjour, il existe un outil fameux à mon goût pour les css = « css edit ». 20 euros pour se faciliter la vie ! Le principe est simple tu ouvres css edit qui se présente comme un navigateur, tu entres l’url de ton site, tu tapotes la touche « xray » pour passer en « active ». Tu cliques sur « inspector » qui t’affiche une p’tite fenêtre et puis tu survoles et sélectionnes les endroits que tu souhaites modifier dans ta page affichée, et là magique apparaît dans ton « inspector » de quelle feuille de style il s’agit. Il te le propose, tu acceptes… tu télécharges la feuille de css en question, tu modifies direct sur ton interface les typos, les couleurs, la taille des blocs, enfin tout le graphisme, et ce, sans massacrer ton site en ligne. Une fois content content, tu enregistres ton fichier et le remplace sur le ftp. Et tu savoures… Bref, un outil assez facile d’accès. Dans ce domaine, tout conseil est bon à prendre… et je n’ai pas de honte à m’appeler petit scarabée. C’est ma fontaine de jouvence. Un peu comme le gamay, qui est mon produit de beauté.

La démarche peut paraître un peu laborieuse au départ mais une fois que c’est fait ça s’avère bien pratique quand on veut faire des modifications sans tout casser dans sa version « en ligne ». En gros tu modifies ce que tu veux sur ta version local et une fois que t’as vérifié que tout fonctionne bien, tu balances les fichiers modifiés sur ta version « online ». C’est une bonne manière pour faire des modifs sans avoir peur de tout casser !
Si jamais tu veux essayer et que tu as besoin de plus d’indications, n’hésite pas à demander. Y’a des chances que je m’en souvienne encore vu que j’ai moi-même fait ça au début de l’été. :p
